As the Individual Giving Officer at LifeWorks NW, you will play a key role in advancing our mission by building and strengthening relationships with individual donors. Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with the President/CEO, you will lead efforts to revitalize our existing donor base, manage a portfolio of major and planned giving prospects, and secure significant philanthropic support through personalized cultivation and stewardship. You'll also be responsible for identifying and engaging new donors through strategic research, networking, and outreach-ensuring a robust and growing pipeline of individual support for the organization's vital behavioral health services.

Pay/Benefits: $90,755 starting annual salary plus, Full benefits

Location: This position is based out of LifeWorks NW's Sylvan site.

Preferred Experience

  • Guide donors through the giving cycle.
  • Engage annual fund donors using various methods.
  • Solicit individual donations of at least five figures through one-on-one meetings.
  • Manage a portfolio of more than 65 major donors and prospects across all stages of the giving cycle.
  • Communicate with donors using their preferred method, including in-person, phone, or virtual platforms.
  • Coordinate multiple aspects of individual giving, including annual fund, major gifts, and planned giving.
  • Develop tailored proposals aligning donor interests with organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with management and the Marketing and Communications team to prepare specialized donor materials, such as impact reports and stewardship updates.
  • Record contact reports and donor notes in Bloomerang within one business day.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Development when individuals have corporate or foundation affiliations.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree/CFRE preferred
  • At least four years' fundraising experience, with 2-3 years managing major donors
  • Passion for LifeWorks NW mission
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • History of securing five- and six-figure individual donations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for donor engagement
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends
