Mental Health Therapist, Child & Family #246

The Child and Family Mental Health Therapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats children and adolescents ages 3 to 18 experiencing mental health symptoms in an outpatient setting. 

Child and Family Mental Health Therapists at LifeWorks NW offer team-based care from integrated health sites. Therapists on this team receive support through weekly individual supervision and team meetings. We value collaborative and creative team members who enjoying working from a systems perspective. LifeWorks NW employees can qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). This is a full-time position.

Location: This position is based out of LifeWorks NW's Rockwood site.

Pay/Benefits: $62,229 starting annual salary, plus Full benefits

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client evaluation including initial intake interview, formulating diagnosis, identifying appropriate treatment services.
  • Develops therapeutic treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, strengths and needs. Treatment plans and interventions center client voice and incorporate client feedback.
  • Coordinate/collaborate with physicians, staff, families, caregivers, etc. 
  • Document all treatment services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or treatments and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses, modifying plans and diagnoses as necessary. 

Qualifications: 

  • This position requires a valid and active QMHP credential certification through MHACBO or a valid and active status (licensed or registered intern) with an approved Oregon licensing board.
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a mental health related field. 
  • Preferred 1 year experience in broad range of clinical interventions and mental health assessment specific to the client population. Recent graduates accepted. 
  • Provide treatment and document treatment interventions in accordance with federal, state and/or funding source requirements as well as LifeWorks NW policies and procedures.
