The Analyst Programmer will work closely management and internal teams to define and develop business systems that meet our business needs and requirements. This role will combine business process analysis with project management to define business and customer requirements, transform those requirements to system requirements and project plans, and facilitate the implementation, and aid in the adoption of change for improved business operations and customer satisfaction. This role may include participating in the implementation by developing software programs or configuring business systems.
Location: This position is based out of LifeWorks NW's Sylvan site.
Pay/Benefits: $34.58-$44.75 per hour plus Full benefits.
Salary Placement Notice:
The posted salary range reflects the compensation potential for this role. Most candidates will be placed between the entry level and midpoint of the range, depending on their experience and qualifications. However, more seasoned professionals with extensive exact or similar experience may be considered for placement toward the higher end of the range. Final salary offers are made in alignment with internal compensation processes in accordance with Oregon Pay Equity laws.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Schedule, conduct, and document project meetings, encompassing the preparation of project plans and timelines, identification of tasks and activities, monitoring risks, facilitating trade-off discussions and prioritization, tracking project team performance against plan and objectives.
- Schedule, conduct, and document requirement gathering sessions and work-flow discussions to capture project requirement and business processes.
- Document and analyze business processes to contribute to the integration of new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Contribute to the configuration, development and maintenance of web-based customer portals and business system applications
- Act as a change manager to collaborate with management and change leaders to ensure end-user proficiency and support the adoption of new practices, tools, and methods across the agency.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Identify and manage risks; tracking progress against risk mitigation. Including the facilitation of contingency plan development and execution.
- Configure and/or program software tools and systems as required to support business processes.
- Understand health care operations and systems.
- Ability to handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- Exhibits an excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability with the capability of working independently (i.e., possess initiative and desire to learn what is required to successfully lead discussions and framework).
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a project manager and/or analyst or similar for a minimum of 1 year; preferably 2-3 year
- BSc/BA in Business, Computer Science, Information Management preferred
- Knowledge of software/web development and programming languages like HTML, CSS, SQL and system integration solutions.
- Preferred experience in managing software/IT projects and related documentation
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven ability to manage and complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelines throughout the development life cycle.
- Ability to work effectively on a team, and to work independently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated. Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
