LifeWorks NW is a private, non-profit organization providing prevention, mental health, substance use treatment, and related social services to youths, adults, and older adults in over fifteen locations throughout Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties. The Mental Health Therapist assesses and diagnoses children and adolescents ages 3 to 18 experiencing mental health issues and behavioral problems in school based programs as well as the Virginia Garcia medical clinics. They provide appropriate treatment and/or consultation with families, care providers, and community partners about treatment options.
As a behavioral health organization, LifeWorks NW employees are required to have had their COVID 19 vaccination (or have an approved medical/religious exemption) per State of Oregon rules. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required upon hire.

Pay/Benefits: $58,689 to $62,849 annual salary, plus full comprehensive benefits. $1,000 sign-on bonus.
QMHPs at this LifeWorks NW site qualify for the Oregon Health Care Provider Incentive Loan Repayment Program and/or the Oregon Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program.
Essential Responsibilities: (Must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.)
Providing Direct Client Care - Individual family and group therapy; case management; consultation; assessment; skills training; crisis intervention.
Assisting Clients - Responsible for rendering assistance in clean up duties involving the bodily fluids spill kit when providing services at LifeWorks NW sites.
Making Decisions and Solving Problems - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Therapy and Counseling - Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling. Recognition of medical necessity and knowledge of the golden thread of treatment, from client intake through discharge. Familiarity of applications of evidence based practices appropriate to client population.
