The Program Director position will oversee the Rehabilitation Program and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams.
LifeWorks NW's rehabilitation program helps individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses to develop skills, access community resources, and support healthy, meaningful lives. This program works collaboratively within consumer support systems and community partners to develop individualized treatment plans, provide individual and group skills training, psychiatric services, medication and case management, supported employment, and peer-delivered services.
ACT is an intensive Assertive Community Treatment fidelity program. This is a community-based program, with approximately 80% of the team's time in the community. Our team works with adults, ages 18-99, who have severe and persistent mental illness who need intensive, wrap around services to assist with issues including (but not limited to) difficulty with housing, social support, interactions with law enforcement, addictions, economic status, employment, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal skills, basic needs, and general independent living skills that are barriers to residing independently in the community.
This position is based out of LifeWorks NW's Beaverton site.
The Program Director position is responsible for managing the daily clinical aspects of an integrated team of clinical staff including service quality, staff deployment and integration within the site.
Days/Hours: This is a full-time position Monday through Friday; and also provides supervisory consultation to the ACT on-call clinician after hours.
Pay/Benefits: $63,696 to $70,066 per year. Full benefits
- Develops new programs in coordination with business and strategic plan. Implements new programs.
- Coordinates partner organization relationships within specific program.
- Monitors contract compliance for programs areas. Implements contract statement of work.
- Assists in developing and monitoring program budgets. May be required to participate in grant writing and fund-raising activities.
- Provide training to community partners, agency staff and others.
- Monitors quality management compliance and performs day to day quality management tasks (e.g. chart audits, utilization management)
- Provides assistance to direct reports with work issues including establishing clear expectations regarding performance and training.
- Provides support and attention to employee successes and addresses performance issues promptly and effectively.
- Establishes direct service expectations for clinical staff. Monitors employee productivity, documentation and insurance authorizations.
- Coordinates hiring process including orientation and training.
- Meets with staff individually and as a group for regular supervision (meeting with staff a minimum of 2 times per month). Maintains accurate documentation of supervisory meetings.
- May provide direct service. Provides crisis consultation for program area.
- Meets standards for documentation and work accuracy as defined in the Performance Evaluation for self and supervisees including timely completion of progress notes, assessments, treatment plans and authorization requests.
- Meets standards for direct service including accountability for supervisees, implements and ensures adherence of the clinical model and/or evidence based practices and quality of clinical practice for self and supervisees.
- Meets expectations for being an effective supervisor and team member.
- Completes required program reports including those needed for supervisory responsibilities timely and accurately.
- Check e-mail/voice mail daily when working.
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or Mental Health Related field required.
- This position requires a QMHP credential either through Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or by obtaining and maintaining active internship or licensed with an eligible state licensing board. All prospective candidates must either have a valid MHACBO registration number or licensing intern number upon hire.
- Program Directors in mental health programs providing clinical supervision must meet QMHP requirements and have completed two years of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting.
- Demonstrated experience (3 plus years) in a program area including two years of progressively responsible clinical and administrative experience.
- Must demonstrate competence in leadership, program planning and budgeting, fiscal management, supervision of program staff, personnel management, program staff performance assessment, use of data, reporting, program evaluation, quality assurance, and developing and coordinating community resources.
- Requires access to car, valid driver's license, proof of current automobile insurance coverage and verification of safe driving record from DM, ability to meet LWNW driving requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of outreach, engagement, and/or treatment strategies for the program population.
- Ability to network and promote program in the community as needed which may include public speaking.
- Must have good computer skills including a functional knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to master use of proprietary software including electronic health record system.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to provide culturally-competent treatment services to diverse client populations.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency preferred but not required.
- LPC, LCSW, and/or CADC is a plus.
